Making a price book
9/22/13
What is a price book you ask? It is where you keep track of a few items that you buy frequently And you keep track of the prices in your one store you shop at or in multiple stores. As a saver you will wanna know when a item hits the rock bottom price. For me toothpaste is always free, shampoo I get free or for $.25 once you get the hang of it you can do more than one or two items. I have a book with 56 items I watch weekly.
Happy saving!!!!

Search for coupons and deals before hand.

So I start off looking in my local gas stations and rite aid for coupons. I found tons of amazing coupons this way. I recently found some Gardner fruitese no restriction coupons. I got 24 free shampoo and conditioner trial bottles from Walmart which are $.97 and made a $.03 overage from each. that's a $.72 overage towards the bananas i got. Gas stations and drug stores as well as major food markets are now advertising deals and placing coupons near there aisles so that those who need them find them.
I also look for peelies and other coupons on the shelves from the "Coupon Fairy" I love to leave some for others as well if i know that i wont need to get that deal for a while.

Start off with a system
How you organize your coupons is very important.
I myself use the binder system with baseball sheets. tip on that.. use playing cards. You can get them at the dollar store in packs of two. Use these to seperate your baseball sheets so instead of just 9 coupons you can place 18!!
So there are a few other methods. Box, envelope, ziplock bags, whole inserts and a bunch of other ways, use what works with you.

The Ins and outs of couponing
Here are a few tips for getting into the couponing gig
1. always learn your coupon policies BEFORE you get to the store. I know a few of my local stores but places like CVS Weis and Giant Im a foriegner lol.
2. When you shop at right aid remember to factor in your membership discount. I am at %20 and it makes for cheaper or even FREE items.
3. Remeber to stock up when the sale is good enough. You will come to undersatand sales and ads and know when the best price is to stock up. I am still learning.
4. Stack a store q with a man q to save tons more. at rite aid and CVS they have rewards dollars, i use them as well with the man qs.
5. Only take on the amount of qs that you can handle. I started at 2 and now i get up to 10 a week depending on the sales.
